     FPC, is the abbreviation of Flexible Printed Circuit Board, which is made of flexible insulated clad copper foil. Therefore, it has its own advantages that many rigid printed circuit board lack. For example, it can be freely bent, wound, and folded, according to the space arrange requirement , it can also be laid out at random, move arbitrarily and flex freely in three-dimensional space to fit after assembly or soldering. Using FPC can greatly minimize the volume of electronic products and reduce their weight, which is suitable for electronics to go in the direction of high-density , miniature, high-security and dynamic folding.

    Besides, FPC combines the advantages of good heat-sinking, favorable solderability and assembly ,as well as its low cost. Rigid -flex design, to some extent, make up to the flexible materials for their low carrying capacity in the components.

    FPC is classified single-sided , double- sided, multi-layer and rigid-flex. It mainly adopts polyimide cladding copper foil as base material, which has a high heat-enduring and stable size . The polyimide cladding copper foil make the final products with the coving film by lamination, the coving film holding a good electronic insulation and mechanic protection. It is through the metal hole that make the inner(top) layer and the outer(bottom) layer electric of the multi-layer (double-sided) board .If using the polyester as base material ,FPC is mostly used for the low heat enduring electronics and relatively has a low cost.
